The water is full of minerals, which is the reason why the water is so wonderfully blue. The minerals in the water suppose to have a healing effect for eczema, among other things. The water is 39\u00ba Celsius and is nice and warm! In pool area, you will find two bars, one where you can order various smoothies and drinks and another bar where you can pick up or buy a face mask.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the (swimming) pool, which is the reason for most people to visit the Blue Lagoon, you will also find a sauna, a restaurant and a hotel. It is possible to combine your visit to the pool with a visit to the sauna or have dinner in the luxurious restaurant. Would you like to stay longer? Keep in mind that the Blue Lagoon is a bit different in real life than shown in the pictures. The water is definitely blue, but there are many people there as well! During our visit, it was full of people, especially around the bar! So it is important to book your visit to the Blue Lagoon in advance, since it gets sold out quickly. This can be done via the <a href=\"https:\/\/booking.bluelagoon.com\/guests\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blue Lagoon website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Upon arrival you can check in at the box office. If everything is correct, you will receive a towel and a bracelet. This strap allows you to order drinks in the water at the bar. Afterwards your band will be scanned, and you will have to pay for the ordered items. This price only applies if you visit the bath in the last hour of the day and is valid for &#8216;Comfort&#8217; package. If you choose this package, you will get access to the pool, a Silica mud mask, a towel and a free drink. Besides the Comfort package you can also choose for a &#8216;Premium&#8217; package. This package costs about 10.000 ISK per person and contains besides the aforementioned also a second mask of your choice, slippers, a bathrobe, a reservation in the Lava restaurant and a bottle of sparkling wine when you dine there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip: The starting prices are a bit misleading, because you pay more if you want to visit earlier in the day. The regular prices are approximately 12.000 ISK and 15.000 ISK. It can be a good idea to visit the Blue Lagoon in the last hours of the day. It is less crowded, and if you are lucky you can even see the northern lights (winter). Don&#8217;t want to walk around barefoot? Make sure to bring your own flip-flops!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Blue Lagoon is open all year round, except for a number of holidays.
